Joshua Lee Gibson, 20, of Charlottesville, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008.

Born January 12, 1988, in Charlottesville, he was the son of Jonathan Gibson and Christine Dobson. His stepparents, are Danna Gibson and Tommy Dobson.

Joshua was a fun loving free spirit who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He had attended Fluvanna High School.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Aundrea Montgomery of Charlottes-ville; his maternal grand-mother, Mary Spangler of Artesia, New Mexico; his maternal grandfather, Ronald Spangler of Fredericksburg; his paternal great-grand-mother, Mabel McCrobie of Charlottesville; his maternal great-grandmother, Magdalene Smith; two sisters, Britney Dobson of Lake Monticello and Leanna Gibson of Lynchburg; a brother, Samuel Wood-Breeden of Lynchburg; three aunts, Mary Kay Wilson and her husband, Rick, Ronda Griggs and her husband, Paul, and Yvonne Norris and her husband, Lewis; five uncles, Ronnie Spangler and his wife, Vera, Rob Gibson, Dennis Dobson, Jack Reese and his wife, Yvonne, and Frank Gray and his wife, Cary; and nine cousins, Kerry Griggs, Sheri Griggs, Jack Reese, Josh Reese, Ronnie Spangler, Connie Spangler, Shane Spangler, Miles Spangler, and Chance Spangler.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Melvin Montgomery.
